Carpe Review: Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

I love any product that promises glowing skin and I especially love products that you can "feel" working which many online reviews claim this Aztec Secret Clay Mask does.  I ordered some online and was able to give it a try last night.

On the inside this clay is still powder I was not expecting this.  Just mix with either apple cider vinegar or water to make the mask.

I made my mask with apple cider vinegar, when I first added it the whole combination bubbled up like a science experiment but that only lasted a second or two. The mask was very easy to mix. It is noted on the product that you should not use a metal dish or utensils for this.

The directions say to apply a 1/4 -1/2 inch layer,
which thicker than I am used to at first it felt strange
but then it just felt very refreshing.

After application you just wait and wait and wait.  I allowed my mask to sit for 20 minutes.

After waiting I noticed that my mask cracked some (as pictured). My roommate's mask did not,  we quickly realized this was because I was chatting and laughing throughout the process causing my face to move all around whereas my roommate was quiet and relaxed. What can I say ? I am a big talker :)

The cracking did not interfere with the mask at all. I did not feel the 'pulsating sensation' that is noted in so many reviews and on the product but I did feel a cooling sensation  for the last couple of minutes that I had it on and then especially as I washed off the mask.

Afterwards I was anticipating redness but hardly had any just a little around my nose and on my cheek. My face felt nice and tight the rest of the night and I am not sure if this is all in my head but this morning after washing my face my pores looked slightly smaller -especially on my nose.  I am excited to see the results of continued use.

Overall this was a good price, I could feel it working and I experienced results after the first use. I would recommend this to my lady (and gentleman) friends. Who doesn't love an excuse for a face mask ?
