Transitioning: Before the Big Move

I cling to routine. I love a good schedule- don't even get me started on itineraries ! So it is no surprise that as I am about to move across the country (from Northern Virginia to Los Angeles, California) I am completely terrified. I look forward to documenting the move through this blog. Until then here are some photographs of life so far this east-coast winter.

A floral scarf and tough boots are an unexpected match and help to liven up a dreary winter day

An instagram shot of the valentines day flowers I was lucky to receive
I have been slowly but surely growing my bangs out. I also dyed my hair back to a more "natural" hue of blonde. I will always love that platinum shade but my hair could not handle peroxide.
I am not a huge Starbucks girl, I actually prefer my coffee weak ( Trust me, I know this makes me a bad person) but nothing can beat a hot drink on a snow day.
A delicious new Gluton-free Red Velvet cupcake from my two best friends at Cupcakes Actually in Leesburg.

While preparing for the move I have been visiting with close friends to say farewells. This snapshot is from brunch at Tarrent's Cafe in Richmond last weekend. Crabs Benedict….enough said.

A perfect quote from an inspiring man.

Wish me luck.
