Comfort zone

If I'm feeling insecure or in a rush I cling to basic's they bring me comfort - my closet has a lot of black white and grey pieces. I have to confess It has gotten to the point where my boyfriend gets excited if he sees me in a pop of color. Although this outfit is just black and white basics I think the double slit skirt add's some fun

Summer Lately

my summer has consisted of a lot of cat hangouts

bright days blurry evenings 

making an effort to eat breakfast on the regular 

and spontaniously giving myself a self chop

Back details

I am so happy the weather has turned and I get to bring out the light colors more and more- I get obsessed with whites come summer time. This look is very easy - sheer top, belt, white pants and cute white oxfords to match. My absolute favorite part of this outfit however is the cut out details on the back of this shirt- I love pieces that seem low key and easy but then have some sort of surprise detailing that sets them apart. 

Princess shirt

When I was about 6 years old I had a dress that was so flowy I called it my 'princess dress' I would twirl in it over and over again to watch it spin out around me. This causal grey top is so flowy I can't help but refer to it as my 'princess shirt' - it goes well with anything -ripped jeans , faux leather leggings,  white pants, shorts - but today I paired it with a fun neon coral bandage skirt. I love the contrast of the muted grey and the bright skirt. I couldn't help but snap a few pic's with these over the top sun glasses I just bought for summer, they're so much fun and have that perfect "people watching" reflect. 

Peter Pan Collars and Top Knot Dreams

 I love these pants the cut makes them appropriate for the office but the color keeps them fun. I chose to pair them with a black detailed tank because the weather has been so warm around here lately - you could easily throw a blazer or sweater over it to make it ok for work and then just rock the tank for happy hour afterwards. I don't know about any of you but I have to admit top knots are my saving grace hairstyle in the hot summer months - my thin hair is so prone to loosing its style or falling flat a top knot is an easy no-fuss style I can leave in all day long. 

HOTT PANTS !

These brand new high waisted black shorts are perfect for summer and match with almost everything. You can wear them super casual or fancy, I opted for in between for this post. Paired them with a casual thin white sweater, bold necklace and black wedges.

Black and tan

 Today I got pretty daring with my outfit ( it was a gloomy Monday morning after a beautiful Cinqo de Mayo Sunday and I wanted to spice things up !) this statement necklace really inspired the whole outfit for me. Since the crop top was so daring I tried to keep the colors simple to balance it out - I just stuck to black and khaki.

These high waisted khaki pants are so much fun - you could pair them with a conservative top for work or go edgier with a crop top like this and they are so unbelievably comfortable !

My first post - Spring is in the air

This is my very first blog post, for years I have wanted to start documenting what I wear and today was the day I finally started - I hope anyone who comes across this enjoys it

So far this spring I have been obsessed with anything sheer and any blouse with cutout details. They leave you feeling covered up but flirty and relaxed at the same time.  Today the weather was gorgeous which always has a way of inspiring me to dress up so I paired this mint green blouse with some white capri's and wedges.. A classic spring time look with some fun modern twists

The wind had its way with my hair about 10 seconds into shooting  

I bought these wedges at the very end of last summer I am so excited to bring them out again this year! I love that they are so neutral at first glance but have fun girly details on the sides.
